Within our community we don't require giving, but as Christians we understand that God is calling us to sacrifice by giving of our time, talents, and financial resources. We give for many reasons. Here are three:
Giving reflects a consistent commitment to God's local work.
15% of your gifts go to support local charities and non-profit groups and their missions within our community!
Giving glorifies God.
Give because God gives to you so that you would generously give to others. Paul testified in 2 Cor. 9:11 that “you will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way.”
God gives, you receive, you give, and another receives.
Giving helps us grow in our relationship with God.
When we give, we become like the character personified in Psalms 112:9 –
“He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever”.
